The realization of project One Destination Two Countries is possible due to the wide range and numerous sites located on the territory of the cross-border region of Haskovo – Edirne, mainly in terms of the natural and cultural-historical heritage.

The cross-border region can boast a rich and interesting history from various periods, as evidenced by enough cultural and natural landmarks.

On the basis of tourist potential, the following main categories of tourism in the cross-border region are shown – natural sights and cultural and historical heritage.

The sights from these two categories form the tourist image of the cross-border region Haskovo – Edirne as a tourist destination.
